EMDESK is a cloud-based workspace for managing collaborative projects, built around EU and nationally funded research and innovation work. Coordinators structure a consortium into partners, teams and individuals, plan work packages, tasks, milestones and deliverables, and plan budgets and effort by partner and cost category. During execution, team members and partners record time and expenses themselves, and coordinators compare actual costs and effort with the budget, follow progress in table, Gantt and Kanban views, and generate progress and financial reports. The workspace also includes shared documents with version control, real-time co-editing, built-in video meetings, messaging and role-based access per item. Projects can be started from a template or by importing data from Excel. Employee management, capacity and leave planning and time tracking are available in the Team plan; the Project plan covers a single project.
