Project Central is built around an existing Microsoft 365 environment. Teams can work inside Microsoft Teams, attach SharePoint files and connect tasks to Outlook Calendar. Tasks have checklists, comments and mentions; project dashboards report status, completion and health. The cross-project list exports to PDF or Excel.
The subscription includes every feature with unlimited internal users and projects, rather than a seat charge. Access uses the organization's Microsoft identity, and starting the trial can require IT permission. The 14-day trial is separate from the ongoing paid account. It fits organizations already committed to Microsoft 365.
Confirm external Azure AD guest access before rollout: the help guide documents work-account guests and Teams-only access without web app or project files for guests lacking their own Azure AD account, but the FAQ still states that Azure AD guests are unsupported.
