Agile Hive

Agile Hive adds SAFe structures, PI planning, roadmaps and role-specific reporting to Jira for organizations coordinating agile release trains.

Overview

Agile Hive is a Jira extension for scaled agile delivery. It connects strategic work, features and team stories in a SAFe hierarchy, with a PI Planning Board for cross-team dependencies and roadmaps for scheduled features. Role-oriented views target release train engineers, product managers and system architects. It is most relevant to an organization implementing SAFe in an existing Jira environment. Jira remains a required host and its cost is separate from the app and any service package. Cloud migration and maintained Data Center versions are documented, but deployment editions should be evaluated against the specific Jira version. The public contact route supports a commercial assessment; a universal per-user price and full implementation cost are not established here.

Before you choose

Check before choosing

  • Data Center is closed to new customers from March 30, 2026; existing-customer sales and renewals end March 30, 2028, followed by end of life on March 28, 2029. Cloud remains available. Cloud migration scope must be checked for generally available, service-assisted and planned capabilities.

Project Planning

Partial supportBuilt in
What you can do
  • Cloud team boards assign backlog work to PI iterations with drag-and-drop; the calculated ART board shows feature completion, milestones and dependency criticality.
  • Cloud teams enter story-point capacity for each PI iteration. Planned story-point load is compared with that baseline and highlighted when it exceeds capacity.

Project Tracking

Partial supportBuilt in
What you can do
  • Inspect role-specific reporting and connected delivery status for features and team stories within Jira.

Measurement

Cloud Load vs. Capacity reports use entered iteration capacity as baseline. ART feature completion derives from the last planned team-child sprint.

  • Description
Team stories are parented under ART features; PI views coordinate teams and iterations within the SAFe hierarchy, extending from epics to stories.

Workflow boundary and exception handling
  • Cloud dependency criticality compares mapped iterations, using sprint/child-planning dates before due dates. ART board is calculated, without drag-and-drop; automatic successor-date propagation is unconfirmed.
