Overview

Programs supports Program Increment planning, Scrum of Scrums and other cross-team planning inside Jira. Shared program and team boards show objectives, milestones and dependencies across several sprints. Dependency indicators expose conflicts when prerequisite work is scheduled later and risks when linked work falls in the same sprint. It requires a separate app subscription for Jira Cloud or Data Center, sized to the entire host Jira user tier. Cloud can be monthly or annual; Data Center is annual. Jira licensing remains an additional cost. The product offers a 30-day trial. For teams with different sprint cadences, the supplier recommends separate Programs with external dependencies rather than assuming every team fits one common schedule.
